Kalshi Partners With Signify Group to Protect Athletes From Online Abuse and Threats

Guardii Analysis

On 14 October 2026, Kalshi, a United States financial exchange, announced a partnership with Signify Group to protect athletes and coaches from online abuse, threats and harassment linked to its sports event contracts. Under the programme, Signify's Threat Matrix service will monitor public social media for abuse targeting athletes and coaches across the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, USTA, WTA and ATP Tour, using AI-powered detection combined with specialist human intelligence to identify harmful content across 32 categories of abuse and threats in more than 100 languages. Kalshi will use IC360 technology to determine whether individuals responsible for verified abuse hold accounts on its platform and may restrict or permanently close those accounts, with relevant evidence shared with sports organisations and law enforcement where appropriate. The exchange has added a new rule explicitly prohibiting abuse or threats in connection with trading activity.

Linking bettor accounts to verified abuse represents a compliance step within a particular marketplace, but the operational challenge extends across the entire social ecosystem where athletes are targeted by anonymous accounts, burner profiles and coordinated networks that have no commercial relationship to any single platform. Backed by Startmate and a Meta Business Partner, Guardii deploys athlete-abuse detection that works across Instagram, Snapchat, Discord, Roblox and other platforms to identify the coercion, escalation and sustained targeting patterns that distinguish campaigns from isolated comments, flagging high-risk contact before it reaches the athlete and surfacing threat actors to sporting bodies, safeguarding teams and law enforcement in real time. The system detects the structure of coordinated harassment rather than waiting for individual messages to be reported, enabling rapid escalation to the right authority when a campaign crosses into criminal threat territory and protecting athletes from abuse that originates far beyond the boundaries of any single betting platform or social-media channel.
