During the week of July 1, 2026, Homeland Security Investigations Los Angeles, federal partners, and state and local agencies executed over 20 federal warrants and arrested ten suspects on sex trafficking charges. Offline trafficking begins with online recruitment—and foster children, already isolated from protective networks, represent the highest-vulnerability cohort.
