Docs: New charges filed against Indy photographer who created AI-generated CSAM of children he knew
Guardii Analysis
A 75-year-old Indianapolis photographer now faces 50 felony charges for allegedly using artificial intelligence to produce child sex abuse material, up from 11 initial counts after detectives uncovered evidence that he digitally altered photos of additional juvenile victims. Investigators traced the content to the suspect through an IP address used to access ArtSpace.ai, where he allegedly uploaded photos he took of at least 47 children before giving the application prompts to remove their clothing. Court documents show he knew several of the victims and described the activity as fun and exciting before calling it stupidity.
Grooming and sextortion detection deployed at the messaging layer addresses the trust-exploitation pathway that precedes such abuse. A world-leading AI online-safety platform backed by Startmate, Guardii detects harmful patterns including sustained targeting, escalation and coercion in children's direct-message conversations across Instagram, Snapchat, Discord, Roblox and other platforms. The system blocks or flags hostile contact before it reaches the target, surfaces a child in crisis to a parent or professional, and detects threat patterns rather than reading every message, intercepting precisely the type of age-inappropriate contact and grooming behaviour that offenders use to collect source material for AI-generated CSAM.
