New anti-bullying framework launched for Australian schools
Guardii Analysis
The Australian Government has released an updated National Framework for Protecting Students from Bullying, establishing consistent principles for school responses to bullying and cyberbullying across all jurisdictions. The framework builds on the Let's Stop Bullying campaign and responds to recommendations from the Anti-Bullying Rapid Review, setting out expectations for prevention, early intervention, and response protocols that state and territory education departments are now implementing through revised local policies.
Blanket measures that restrict access to platforms address the environment but not the conversation-level harms that move across channels. Guardii's cross-platform detection architecture intercepts harmful targeting patterns in direct messages on Instagram, Snapchat, Discord, Roblox and other services in real time, surfacing a child under sustained attack to a school or parent before escalation and enabling rapid escalation to authorities when coercion or threat signals emerge, addressing the underlying harm without displacing hostile contact to unmonitored spaces or imposing access restrictions on compliant users.
