Measures We've Put in Place to Fight Child Exploitation

Guardii Analysis

Meta disclosed that it actioned 5.3 million pieces of child sexual exploitation content on Facebook and Instagram in India between January and June 2026, with over 98 percent detected proactively before user reports. The company stated it deployed additional AI tools to counter adversarial tactics and improve detection of advertisements featuring child sexual abuse material or directing users to violating activity off-platform, and that it disables accounts where signals indicate malicious sharing by predators.

Platform enforcement at scale addresses distribution after content is created and shared; real-time interception addresses harm at the point of contact. Anti-CSAM and anti-sextortion detection built into Guardii identifies coercion, image solicitation and sharing patterns in direct-message conversations before material is created or distributed, blocking hostile contact and surfacing a child at immediate risk to parents or authorities. The AI-driven platform, a Meta Business Partner, operates across Instagram, Snapchat, Discord, Roblox and other environments, detecting sustained targeting and escalation without creating a readable feed of message content and enabling emergency escalation to law enforcement when a child is in acute danger.
