Man sentenced to 30 years for online sexual exploitation of minors, officials say
Guardii Analysis
A man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for sexually exploiting three minors online after using Snapchat to threaten victims and coerce them into producing child sexual abuse material. Hudson reached out to a 14-year-old on Snapchat in June 2024, falsely claiming he possessed nude images of her and threatening to shoot up her house unless she complied; he forced the girl to stand naked during a video call while recording on a second device, then threatened to distribute the images unless she sexually assaulted another minor, ultimately coercing the 14-year-old and two other minors into sexual activity that he recorded and subsequently sent to one of the victim's classmates. In a separate incident, Hudson coerced an adult woman into sexually assaulting a child during a video call, recording the assault without her knowledge, then sent images of the assault to a former classmate in retaliation when she refused further contact. He was arrested on December 13, 2024, and charged with a five-count indictment on January 8, 2025.
This case illustrates precisely the point-of-contact prevention principle on which Guardii's anti-sextortion module operates. The moment an offender on Snapchat falsely claims to possess compromising imagery and issues a threat—whether financial, violent or social—the technology detects the coercion signature and blocks the message from reaching the child, or surfaces the conversation immediately to a parent or safeguarding professional if initial contact has already been established. Guardii, a Meta Business Partner and world-leading AI safety platform, is designed to intercept the escalation documented in this sentencing—from the false claim of possession, to the demand for imagery, to the threat of wider distribution—before the child produces material or is coerced into offline harm, enabling intervention at the first sign of extortion rather than after multiple victims have been exploited and material has been created and shared.
