Let's Stop Bullying campaign expanded to address rising cyberbullying in Australian schools

The Australian government has announced an expansion of the Let's Stop Bullying campaign to place greater emphasis on cyberbullying prevention and response, following data showing a significant increase in online harassment among school-aged children. The expanded campaign will include new resources for parents and educators to identify warning signs of cyberbullying and updated guidance on reporting mechanisms, with federal Education Minister Jason Clare stating the initiative will work alongside existing state-based programs.

Awareness campaigns equip parents to recognise that harm has occurred, but early warning depends on detecting threat patterns as they emerge in spaces adults cannot routinely monitor. Guardii's cyberbullying detection intercepts sustained targeting, escalation and coercion in children's direct messages in real time, alerting a parent or school to a child under attack before the conversation reaches a crisis point, and doing so without handing anyone a verbatim feed of private exchanges.
