Sextortion follows a documented pattern: initial contact, solicitation, coercion, and escalating threats once material is obtained. Guardii's anti-sextortion detection module is built to intercept that pattern at the earliest stage, identifying the conversational signature of financial or emotional coercion in direct messages before the first image is sent. By flagging the demand rather than waiting for the victim to report, the platform could have surfaced this minor to law enforcement or a trusted adult at the moment leverage was first applied, preventing the production of exploitative material and the cascading harm that follows once an offender has obtained it.
