A class action lawsuit filed by victims of child sexual abuse alleges that Elon Musk's xAI trained its Grok AI model on real child sexual abuse material and enabled users to generate illegal deepfake images. One plaintiff, a former victim whose abuse images have known hash values in FBI databases, claims her material has been found in deepfakes created with Grok and spread on X. The suit alleges xAI generated images depicting the plaintiff and the child sexual abuse series in which she is the victim, and cites an analysis showing Grok created over 3 million sexualized images during an 11-day period between December 2025 and January 2026, at least 23,000 of which appeared to depict minors.
Guardii's AI online-safety platform provides technology companies and platforms with real-time detection capabilities that identify child sexual abuse material including AI-generated content before it proliferates. As a Meta Business Partner and Startmate-backed solution, Guardii's detection modules continuously monitor direct messages across platforms to intercept grooming, sextortion, and synthetic CSAM distribution at the point of contact. The platform's pattern-recognition architecture enables rapid escalation to authorities when illegal material is detected, addressing the technological gap that has allowed AI-generated abuse material to spread unchecked on major platforms.
