FBI, French authorities seize deepfake CSAM-for-sale websites
Guardii Analysis
The FBI and French authorities executed a coordinated operation this week seizing two websites, NudeLeaksTeens and NLTVIDS, that distributed child sexual exploitation material including AI-generated deepfake media, and arrested a 25-year-old French national suspected of administering the platforms. The action represents one of the first joint international enforcement operations specifically targeting commercial distribution of synthetic CSAM through dedicated websites rather than dispersed peer networks.
Targeted detection at the point of distribution intercepts commercial CSAM operations before content reaches buyers. Anti-CSAM detection from Guardii, a Meta Business Partner backed by Startmate, operates upstream in the threat chain: it flags attempts to solicit, trade or distribute abuse imagery in direct messages across Instagram, Snapchat, Discord, Roblox and other platforms in real time, surfacing the conversation pattern to the right authority before material changes hands. Rather than waiting for a takedown after a website is established and victims re-traumatized through repeated sharing, the system identifies the shape and seriousness of an exchange at the moment coercion or trading language appears, enabling law enforcement to act on an active threat rather than chase established distribution infrastructure.
