Bullying No Way Week 2026

The eSafety Commissioner launched resources for Bullying No Way Week 2026, running from 17 to 21 August 2026, including a professional learning webinar for educators and youth-serving professionals titled The changing face of cyberbullying: protecting your child in 2026, which explores how online harm is changing with new technologies driving rapid shifts in both the nature of the issue and the tactics used. The webinar for parents and carers unpacks the signs that children may be experiencing or engaging in cyberbullying, advice on building protective factors at home, and how to support children with practical strategies to respond, report and stay safe in a fast-paced digital world. The eSafety Commissioner also offers Virtual Classroom sessions for primary schools during August and September 2026, including a 20-minute webinar available live and on-demand teaching students to recognise stereotypes and peer pressure interactions, explore online friendships and cyberbullying, and build more positive peer relationships online.

Recognising that cyberbullying is evolving rapidly and that protective strategies must evolve with it, as the eSafety Commissioner observes, points directly to the limitations of scheduled awareness weeks and webinar training that teach children and parents to recognise harm after it has already commenced.
